Nitrogen Accounting
The first step in making your way toward nitrogen neutrality is to calculate and understand your business's or organization's nitrogen footprint. Our goal is to help clients gain a better understanding of their overall impact and to use this information to develop strategies for reducing emissions.
Currently, we are working with a consortium of scientists, industry, government, and nonprofit representatives to develop nitrogen calculators and accounting processes for businesses of various sizes.
If your business, institution, or organization is interested in working directly with the Chesapeake Fund to calculate your nitrogen footprint, please contact us. From there, we'll advise you on the best strategies toward attaining nitrogen neutrality. Recommendations may include:

- Water conservation, reuse, and recycling
- Nitrogen offset purchasing
